Within Joiin, a company will either use an accrual or cash accounting method. By default Joiin will use accrual reporting, however, Xero/QuickBooks users have the ability to swap between the two.
To switch between cash and accrual, please see the following:
1. Go to the Companies page in Joiin
2. Go into the companies configuration by clicking on the name of the company or by selecting the 3 dot menu to the side of the company and then click Configure
3. Choose between cash and accrual using the box provided
4. Click Update configuration to save your choice
5. Select either Apply to all or No, just one to apply the changes to all of your companies or just the selected one
Once you have made the necessary changes, Joiin will refresh your companies in order to apply the new accounting type.
This may take a couple of minutes.
