How to connect Joiin to Google Sheets (via Zapier)

1. Go to Zapier (https://zapier.com/app/zaps) 


2.  Go to Zapier and press ''+Create''





3.  Select 'Joiin Reporting' from the trigger drop-down.


4. Chose the report type to export (Trial balance or Custom report)






5. Go to https://app.joiin.co/user/api-access to generate the API key (when you generate the Key you may need to wait 90 seconds for it to be active).






6. Go back to Zapier and add the Joiin API 




7. Continue



8. Select companies, currency and a year you want the report return. Make sure you set CSV File output to True.





9. Continue 

10.  Press 'Test Trigger' (You may need to click “Test trigger” twice and you should then see a screen similar to the one below. 





11. Press continue 


12. Use the search box in section 3 to find Google Drive





13. Choose 'Replace file' in the Event section






14. Now create an empty Google Sheets file in Google Drive ie. Joiin-custom-report.





15. Go back to Zapier to configure Access to Google Drive


- Select the Google Drive folder that you stored the empty file

- Select the file 






16. In the File field use the search all available fields to find “File (Exists but not shown)”





Once selected it will look like this:







17. Set the file name to be the same as the file you have created





It should look something like the one below






18. Continue


19. Test Google Drive step


If successful you will see the following: 







Now open the file in your Google Drive, your spreadsheet should now include results from your custom report.
