These instructions will guide you through installing the beta version of the Joiin x Excel plug-in. As this is an early release, you may need to contact the Joiin support team to request access before proceeding.
1. Create a folder on C: drive - name it excel-addins
2. Right click on the folder - select Properties
3. Go to sharing tab and click Share button
4. In open window click Share at the bottom right
5. After some time, you should see the message 'Your folder is shared'
6. After clicking Done, you will be on the Properties/Sharing screen. Copy Network Path:.
(it will be similar but different to what's on the image below but should start with \)
7. Click Close
8. Open Excel on an empty Spreadsheet
9. Click File
10. Click Options - bottom left it will open Excel Options window:
11. Click Trust Center
12. Click Trust Center Settings button...
13. Select Trusted Add-in Catalogs
14. In Catalog Url enter Network Path from point 6 (in the below case: \DESKTOP-JOK38FS\excel-addin)
17. Click Add Catalog
18. Select Show in Menu in the table
19. Click OK, Click OK
20. Close All Office apps (Excel, Word etc)
21. Start Excel
22. Create blank workbook
23. Click Home -> Add-ins
24. More Add-Ins
25. If you have done all of the above, you should see "SHARED FOLDER" just under the main title.
26. Click SHARED FOLDER
27. Go to Joiin, click 'Excel add in' in the left hand menu and download the Manifest file (Download plug-in button)left-hand
28. Move this file into the folder created at the start (C:\excel-addin)
29. Go back to the Excel SHARED FOLDER and click Refresh, in the top right you should see 'Joiin Excel' a shown below:
30. Select it and Click the Add button on the bottom right
31. The menu item Joiin should appear. Click there and click Open Joiin ...
32. Go back to Joiin and access your API key (shown below)
31. Copy the 'Joiin API key' and paste it into this box.
